First Choice
We worked with First Choice Airways (formerly Air2000) for several years. Being one of the larger operators in the UK at the time, they wanted an in-flight magazine that reflected their values and enhance their passenger experience as well as keep up with dynamic and ambitious plans. They needed a creative publishing company offering a full ad sales solution that would keep pushing without being asked. We offered a sales solution to all the magazine advertising as well as in-flight entertainment and other onboard ambient opportunities, meeting ambitious client revenue targets. Sadly, First Choice Airways have since changed their onboard literature policy but we are incredibly proud of the creation of one Magazine and the commercial achievements.
one Magazine
We launched one Magazine in Autumn 2003 to be distributed onboard all First Choice Airways’ flights with a view to totally changing the poor perception there was towards in-flight magazines. We needed to vastly improve on current industry standards (Ok, not so hard), meet client demands as well as providing a credible advertising opportunity through our inhouse sales team.

Raising the bar
Late in 2005, we were appointed by Excel Airways (ranked the UK’s number 2 in regards to passenger numbers for the charter market) to re-launch their in-flight magazine altitude and handle all ambient sales opportunities. This was an extremely positive step and the re-launch title with an ABC of 91,750 speaks for itself as well as hitting it’s challenging ad budget on launch issue and subsequent issue 2. The new ABC figure is now just over 100,000. We are looking forward maintaining and building on this level over the coming years with Excel
Commercial
We have developed some invaluable experience relating to travel retail over the last few years. We have also conducted some truly unique industry research when we commissioned independent focus groups with 50 of the World’s best selling cabin crew at ISPY 2005. In-flight retail sales rose significantly when we were working as part of the program with First Choice Airways. Onboard ambient media and pre-departure opportunities are often part of an advertiser’s integrated campaign and as well as First Choice and Excel Airways, we are now working with organisations like Thomas Cook and Flybe.
